West Texas A&M University, for the record, would be better off if the university administration did this:

1. Abolish fraternities and sororities (excluding academic honor societies, as I am ONLY referring to social organizations).
2. Place ALL of their members on, at a minimum, disciplinary probation. Better yet, they should be expelled for being detrimental to WT.

When you do this, administration, you will get rid of 85% of the problems with WT.

Second of all, because I hate fraternities and sororities (I think the term "Greek life" is offensive to those of Mediterranean origin), I enjoy any news that puts them in a bad light.

NOBODY CARES about your so-called "philanthropy" on- and off- campus. It's all a facade, and you know it. So if you don't like my attitude towards your evil organizations, BUCK UP, GET OVER IT, and realize that your contributions are meaningless to WT.

Matthew M. Decriminalizing alleviates the fear and a portion of the injustice that riddles the American pot-consumer, but this measure (especially in a border state like Texas) would render possession of marijuana less frightening while providing no legal method of accessing The World's Most Misunderstood Plant. After decriminalizing, if consumption rises, the Mexican cartel's profits inflate.

The second is that, rather than speculating, we should simply conduct more research concerning the actual makeup of cannabis. But, how? In Time's article "The United States of Amerijuana", Andrew Ferguson explains that the DEA has us in a beautifully executed catch-22: science can't research marijuana because it's Schedule 1, and it's Schedule 1 because science can't research marijuana to show medical applicability.

Those who find current drug policy unjust should not sidestep their goal. There should be no baby steps toward changing something that is perceived as ridiculous and unfair.

Legalize it. And be dissatisfied with anything less.

Re: Staff Opinion: Canyon is for people, not for cars

It is interesting that there is no sidewalk from campus east past the Best Western and the Buffalo Southwest, the Holiday Inn Express, to the FUBC. It has been a difficult road, but our family has always believed, that no matter what the situation is (tragic or not) there is always a blessing/lesson that we are supposed to receive out of it. One of the biggest lessons so far has been how hard it is to accept blessings from people, because as Christians we are taught to give and support others, so to accept help is hard. The second thing that we have been blessed with is the love and support shown for our family from our immediate family, church family, friends and our community (many of which we don't even know). Again I thank you and if Monday night is successful, it will be because of people like you all. Thank you doesn't seem like enough, but we truly appreciate all you have done!
When I attended it was West Texas State University. Merry Christmas. On Jesus' birthday don't forget to give Jesus a birthday gift. What does He want? The scriptures say, "As you have done unto the least of these so also have you done unto Me." So, Jesus would want you to give unto the "least of these". That is, those who have little or nothing. The busiest shopping day of the year is Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. Want to know the SECOND busiest day? The day after Christmas when people return all the things they got for Christmas that they don't want. A lot of the time we end up giving gifts that people don't even want, much less, need. We need to change the way we think. This year give something to someone who needs it. Feed the hungry. Clothe the naked. Show love to the lonely. Jesus will thank you and it will be a gift that they will return in kind to another in need later on. Blessings go forward. God bless and keep you all. Have a Merry Christmas.

CHRISTmas is about Jesus Christ not a ficticious man in a red suit. We need to change the way we think. Why is it that on everyone else's birthday the birthday boy or girl gets the gifts but on Jesus' birthday we give gifts to others who already have more junk than they need? Why not give gifts to Jesus? What would he want? The scriptures tell us, " As you have done unto the least of these so also have you done unto me." So, Jesus wants you to help the "least" among us.
The busiest shopping day of the year is "Black Friday" the day after Thanksgiving. The SECOND busiest is the first day after Christmas when people return all the stuff they don't want to the stores for refunds. We need to change the way we think.
This Christmas, buy a hungry family a week's worth of groceries, pay some single mother's rent, give a homeless man a coat. Stop wasting your money on cologne, ties, and toaster ovens that people don't need and will probably just return anyway. And when you give them something they need, spend some time with them, talk to them, pray with them, tell them that Jesus loves them and so do you. Then hug them. If you leave in tears you've had a good visit. Now, go out and change the world.....one heart at a time.

1. Repent and close your club.

or:

2. Drown in a pool of debt and let God deal with you.

I would hate to see anyone go to hell. Its my hope that you all will just turn away from your sin and turn toward God. To love God is to obey God. A swinger-Christian is an oxy-moron. Mac if you think you can own a swingers club and make it to heaven then your dead wrong, and I mean spiritually dead. You cannot continually live in sin and expect anything of the father.

Lev 20:10
"And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death."

there are two types of death the bible describes:
1. death on earth-temporary
2. spiritual death- Eternal (Hell)

You can't make it into heaven as an unrepeated swinger. Period. The truth is hard to swallow but it stands as true.
To repent is not to say "sorry my bad" and then do it again and again!
repent means to turn away from your sin.

I will be out there like it or not warning everyone of the hell fire and there is no man in this world that will stop me. I fear no man only my Father God.

Isa 8:12-13
"Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid. Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread."
